System Engineers’ role is to:

  • work within EPC projects and perform various across the board functions to cover all aspects of System Engineering activities as defined below,
  • work at various levels in the design and execution phase of projects which range from small to large,
  • perform the detailed tasks on a daily basis to ensure that all elements of the project come together as one integrated unit, for final handover to our Customers.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

Plan & procedures:

  • Ensuring all relevant system engineering procedures are in place
  • Assisting with and/or producing system engineering deliverables in accordance with contractual requirements, relevant Laws, Rules, Regulations, Codes & standards
  • Assisting with /or produce schedule of activities for system engineering, assist in managing system engineering changes

 

System Design:

  • Develop the SPS Design basis, overall Functional Design Specification, system P&IDs, field layouts
  • Ensuring that the master equipment list is technically sound and producing the SDRL
  • Checking & approving documentation & providing technical requirements for SIT
  • Be an active member of the Offshore Coordination Team
  • Manage and resolve system engineering interfaces
  • Assist the CoEs in providing necessary technical systems information
  • Ensure delivery of all required flow assurance, erosion, thermal and vibration analysis, required materials selection strategies and Cathodic protection philosophy

 

Qualification and verification:

  • Follow up of technical qualification programs, ensuring designs alignment with results
  • Reviewing equipment qualification status and developing the qualification test plan
  • Establish and follow-up design Verification Plan
  • Assisting/ producing Readiness Review documentation to check the maturity of projects

 

Technical Assurance:

  • Assist development and Management of the technical risks register and engineering risk
  • Coordinating support for customer engineering activities  and Installation reviews
  • Ensuring that all activities are defined & planned for as per Contract and documentation is delivered

 

Required Qualification:

  • 2-5 years experience in subsea (could be also working in related disciplines in subsea e.g. controls)
  • Experienced in Project start up, execution and close out of medium – scale subsea projects 
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good commercial skills 
  •  Good understanding of contractual requirements
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Knowledge of working within a Quality environment (Particularly ISO 9001)
  • Prior experience in system delivery of subsea systems
  • Strong customer mindset
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and cope under pressure
  • Ability to undertake occasional work on client site
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
