Design Engineer – EDC Aviation
Currently we are looking for a candidate to work on a position of Design Engineer in the Advanced Mechanical Design Team for GE Aviation.
Office location: Warsaw
Reference number: AMD/AT&PD/EDCW
Responsibilities include:
* Design pitch change mechanism system, including development of dynamic behavior model
* Design of low and /or high pressure compressor components
* Design of low pressure turbine components (rotors, stators, airfoils)
* Perform steady state / transient mechanical (static & dynamic) analysis
* Calculate component life with consideration for various failure mechanisms
* Supporting team in analysis, design, test and validation using FEM tools
* Customer sites visits when necessary
* Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews
* Provide timely communications on projects status
Qualifications:
* Master degree in mechanical engineering or related field
* Practical knowledge of mechanical analysis with FE tools in CAE systems (preferred ANSYS and UG)
* Practical knowledge of mechanical simulation with Matlab/Simulink package
* Good English
* Ability to work independently, under pressure and changing requirements
* Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
* Self-motivated and ability to work independently and as part of a team
