Position description:
Anti-ice Systems Design Engineer will provide direction and assistance to design anti-ice systems for engine inlets in order to meet assigned objectives. Position will consist of anti-ice systems design work supported with Computational Fluid Design and icing analyses and understanding of thermodynamic and fluid mechanics principles.
Responsibilities:
- Execute engine inlets anti-icing system projects.
- Provide engineering Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and icing analyses using Fluent, CFX & FENSAP-ICE.
- Work closely with design team on design process for NPI programs.
- Provide updates on progress and quality of deliverables on a regular basis to ensure on-time delivery
Qualifications:
- BSC or MSC degree from an accredited university
- Experience in performing analyses related to heat transfer or fluid mechanics is welcome
- Knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics principles
- Practical knowledge of using modern commercial CFD solvers will be an advantage (e.g. CFX, Fluent)
- Practical knowledge of using meshing software will be an advantage (e.g. Gambit, ICEM-CFD)
- Knowledge of physics of icing phenomena and de-icing methods in relation to aviation industry will be an advantage
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of getting work done from engineering suppliers
